SCOTUS Watch

Are you planning on blogging about Sonia Sotomayor?  Let us know!  Much like we did for the Tea Parties back in April, we are looking to put "all hands on deck" on this issue, including promotion of our community blogs.

If you make a post about the Supreme Court nominee on your Townhall.com blog, please email me at chris.regal@townhall.com.

Posting Error

Some users are reporting an error message when they attempt to post a blog or a comment.  Be aware, this does not necessarily mean that your post does not go up.  Please be sure to check your blog for the status of your post before you repost your work.

Apparently, there is an error with the redirect to the page after a message has posted.  We are aware and are working on the problem.

Please be patient.

Obama 100 Days Tour

As you may know, the Salem Radio Hosts will be touring the country breaking down the First 100 Days of the Obama Administration.  The first tour stop was in Dallas last night and the tour will run through May 19.  More information can be found at townhall.com/100days.

Are you planning on attending any of the events?  Tell us about it.  As was the case with the Tea Parties, we want to have on-site reports from some of our readers.  Feel free to send your posts to me at chris.regal@townhall.com

Tax Day Tea Parties

Are you going to be attending a Tax Day Tea Party?  Write about it on your blog on Townhall.com!  We would love to hear about your experiences - where you were, how was the crowd, how was the response?  Was there any news coverage?  Was there anyone protesting in opposition?  How was the message received?  Were there any notable people involved in your "party"?

If you are intending to attend an event and blog about it, please either reply to this thread or contact me at chris.regal@townhall.com.  Once we have received reports of the Tea Parties, we can help spotlight them within the community.

For example, Catmman from Rounds Out! will be in attendance of the San Antonio, TX Tea Party.  As he has asked on his blog, is anyone else attending

Thanks!

We have finally arrived on this new-fangled Twitter contraption.

This will work similar to how this blog will work, however, it will also include more "unofficial" news and will focus more on spotlighting our best and brightest blogs.

So please, follow us.

Some updates

Sorry for the lack of activity on this blog, but we are pulling some things together over here that will change the Community aspects of Townhall.com.  As you have probably noticed, the home page has already gone through a redesign.  Other pages have similar plans, including the Community page.

What do you want to see?  What more do you want from the Community?  Are you interested in promoting your own blog, finding other blogs, or communicating with other users?  If you could change something with the TH Community, what would it be?

Additionally, I know there have not been any technical updates in quite some time, especially regarding the aforementioned bugs with Chrome, Safari, the blog roll, bio editor, Sitemeter, etc.  These will all be addressed shortly - do not worry.  Please be patient with us.

And finally, as discussed several posts ago, Townhall Magazine selects two pieces each month from the community to appear in the Blog On section.  We are finally also posting these columns online, starting with our February posts.  The articles from the March issue will go up next week.  Please read them, comment, and support your fellow bloggers!

As always, if you have any questions, comments or feedback, please send it my way at chris.regal@townhall.com!

Bio Editor / Blog Roll

At the end of September, we thought we had cracked the problem.  Unfortunately, such is not the case.

We are working on fixing the problems with these functions.

We appreciate your patience with this issue.

Spam.

As many of you have noticed, we sometimes have some spam and advertising schemes pop up as bloggers on our website.  If you encounter one, please send it to me at chris.regal@townhall.com.

Thank you.

'Disallowed HTML'

We are experiencing some problems with an error message for 'Disallowed HTML'.  This becomes a problem when pasting an article from Word over to our blog editor, and the article contains rich text - ie bold, italics, underline, links, or a change of font.

Please format the article using our Editor tools as a means to avoid this issue.

Additionally, we are still having problems with the Blog Roll and Bio Editor.  Please be patient.
